Mineola is located on Mississauga's south side. It is regarded as one of Mississauga's most exclusive neighbourhoods. : With access to the Credit River, it's known for multi-million dollar mansions (some of which are custom-built) and a Muskoka-like vibe. Many of the older houses have been demolished and rebuilt by some extremely magnificent and luxurious mansions. The streets are twisting and bordered with tall pine and oak trees. There are conservation areas all around, as well as Lake Ontario to the south. Most homeowners enjoy their large backyards and drive to destinations, so there are few opportunities to get out on the street and meet their neighbours, as is the case in many affluent neighbourhoods. If you want to go shopping or eat out, the closest location is Port Credit Village, which is located nearby. Hurontario Street leads to Mississauga City Centre, which is only a 5-minute drive north. On Hurontario Street, there are also a few smaller plazas. It's also close to the Port Credit GO Station and the QEW, making getting into downtown a snap.
