As a buyer, working with a Realtor typically does not cost anything because the sellers of the home you are interested in purchasing will pay the Realtor's fee. Below is an example of what the seller will net after paying the Realtor for the buyer (selling agent) and the Realtor for the seller (listing agent).

This example assumes that the total commission the seller is paying is 5% of the purchase price. You can try adjusting the numbers to see what the final cost will be.
